In another coordinated raid, the co-president of the HDP opposition party was also detained. Other police raids captured four more people from the opposition.

Yesterday, in an early morning raid, the branch president of the DISK, the Confederation of Progressive Labor Unions of Turkey, was detained in Ağrı. In another coordinated raid, the co-president of the HDP opposition party was also detained. Other police raids captured four more people from the opposition.
In Malazgirt, a town in the province of Muş, there are reports that many more people have also been detained by the police.
While most of the detained in Ağrı belong to HDP and the DISK confederation, one person is an ex-leader of the DBP, the Democratic Regions Party.
There are no statements or information on the reasons for the detainments.
In Muş, where the reasons for detainments are also unknown, many individuals, including a village mayor (muhtar) have been taken and detained at the local army gendarmerie station.
Other reports show more raids have occurred in the village of Yaramış, however no other information has been available.
