Construction workers working for Avalon demanding their back pays, over work, weekend forced labor were on strike until their legally owed wages were paid. When the construction corporation Adem Çelik Corporate Group did not respond, the workers’ resistance was carried to the corporation’s headquarters.

This time the corporation’s owner had tried to run over the workers as documented here.

When even running them over did not break the workers the police was called. The police beat the workers before detaining 6 resisting workers and the union representative.

The workers chanted “All construction sites are resistance grounds until we get paid” while they were being detained.  The workers also chanted, “Construction workers are not slaves” even when in the police vans. The beating of the workers continued even when the workers were under police detention.
