Eleven members of People’s Houses including the Co-Chairperson Dilşat Aktaş and Student Collectives who have been in detention for seven days appeared in Ankara Courthouse. Hundreds of people including the members of People’s Houses and Student Collectives, the deputies of CHP (Republican People Party) and HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Day) and the representatives of social opposition organizations met at the courthouse. Seven members of People’s Houses including the Co-Chairperson Dilşat Aktaş and four members of Student Collectives who were taken into custody on February 22nd appeared in Ankara Courthouse for giving their statements.
Hundreds of people met in the courthouse during the statements of 11 people.

The prosecutor demanded a ban on leaving the country for People’s Houses Co-Chairperson Dilşat Aktaş, People’s Houses members Gülşah Öztürk and Student Collectives members Sedat Çakmak, Eylem Esen Arabacı, Meziyet Yıldız and Tankut Serttaş. The court will take a decision by evaluating this demand.
Student Collectives members Tankut Serttaş and Meziyet Yıldız are taken into custody again after their release on the ground that a different detention ruling against them.
Released members of Poeple’s Houses and Student Collectives are welcomed by hundreds of people with the chants of “People’s Houses will not be silent; the homeland will not be silent”.
People’s Houses Co-Chairperson Dilşat Aktaş said in the statement in front of Ankara Courthouse that “Here, we promise once again; we will bring laicism, equality and freedom to this homeland.”
Seven members of People’s Houses including the Co-Chairperson Dilşat Aktaş and four members of Student Collectives have been accusing with “Aiming to stop Tayyip Erdoğan in 2019” and “Planning a resistance movement”.
People’s Houses Central Executive Committee member Kutay Meriç who was taken into custody on February 13th and was arrested on February 20th was released. Meriç said after his release to Sendika.Org that “They intend to repress the people’s struggle against fascism but we don’t and will not submit that.”
