President Erdogan kept up apprearences during his trip in North Cyrus where he kept informed about the massacre in Suruc. However, he contented himself with a condolence letter and continued holding official talks. Previously, Erdogan did cancel his overseas trips and immediately return to the country after the fall of Mubarak, the Mavi Marmara Massacre and the crash of warcraft in Syria.
Also, President Erdogan declared national mourning after the death of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
However, Erdogan only sent a condolence letter and called the Ministery of Health for duty over the Suruc massacre where over 30 citizens dead.
In his letter he says: “We condemn any kind of terrorism. Terrorism doesn’t have any religion, race, nation and land. Struggle against terroism requires international effort.”
