For Ethem, Abdullah and Mehmet…
You tried Ergenekon and Coup d’état literature. It didn’t work out… Not even the kids at home bought it.
You said ıt was a plot of exogenous forces; a grand, international conspiracy… Even your own adherent media objected: “Come on Recep, we’re brothers in faith.”
When that didn’t work, you claimed that the “local interest lobby” was behind the protests. But the people have seen the “interest lobby”, which has added wealth onto your wealth in your term, tremble in fear of a fall in the stock market brought on by the protests.
You called them all “looters”; you made them all embrace the word “looters”…
You tried to provoke people with “They disrespected the mosque, they drank beer!” The imam himself refuted you.
You said that “they martyred a cop.” You were contradicted directly by his friends and relatives. That the chief officer, weary and restless after 5 days, fell down and lost his life because there was no warning sign in the area, was soon brought to light.
You have shown a perfect example of desperation, lack of foresight and aggression, so much so that even the outside world that carried you into power began to say “Erdogan won’t last for long” and started to show their claws.
You tried to fortify your and your party’s vote pool through a polarization. You only gave way to a growing sense of opposition within the party.
You though you could constrict and marginalize this mass of people through violence and aggression. Thanks to you, the mass only grew. You contributed greatly in turning these tiny protests that would have been over in a few days, into a country-wide revolution…
At the moment you wish to divide the protestors and show that you’re in the right by asserting that most of the initial participants were peaceful and right but that some illegal, marginal groups have infiltrated them. The protestors, however, are screaming “Either we’re innocent together or we’re all marginal” and thus frustrating your attempts to “get the goose”.
Your aim was to raise a religious, obedient and malevolent generation but now you’re confronted with a new, political, resistant, demanding, free generation into action, full of love and a sense of interdependence that you’ve kick started into action.
You’ve been struggling to divide the people as the pious and the drunk looters but you are shocked to see how you have caused these two “groups” to walk side by side in a perfect harmony of egalitarianism and justice.
Frankly, my dictator pal, I feel sorry for you… You have lost, and you have lost bad…
I am writing this down here, in capital letters:
From this point on, there is no way you’re building the Topcu Barracks here…
The sea has reached its limit for you…
